I'm planning to swap out the stock 5 UConnect in my car for an Alpine Halo9. I need to connect the e-brake wire from the new unit to the factory one. Has anyoned done this before? Whats the best place to access that wire without taking apart the entire dashboard? Any advice would be graet

Have you checked under the center console or near the parking brake switch? Those spots have easier access to the e-brake wire without removing the dashboardd

Yep, you can usually tap the e-brake signal at the switch near the parking brake pedal or lever instead of tearing into the dash, just trace the wire from the brake switch and connect there. Some people also use a bypass module if they dont want to mess with the factory wiring. Do you want to keep it fully functional or just unlock features while parked?
