Hey everyone, this is probably a long shot, but I'm hoping some of you gearheads can help me out with my dad's 2018 Jeep Renegade 2WD 1.4T that's got the 6 speed DDCT automatic transmission.

I'm trying to do some maintenance, but the info is literally nowhere. I'm in Texas, and the owner's manual just says to change the ATF every 240,000 km (!!) with a specific fluid type and capacity (about 2 liters). That's it.

Seriously, I've looked everywhere for a repair manual or any real info, but it's like this transmission doesn't exist.

So, does anyone know where the filling plug and drain plug are on this thing? I can't find them to save my life.
Also, get this, there's a missing bolt on top of the transmission!

It's not a tiny hole, looks like an M12-M16, almost like for a dipstick or some kind of fill point. I didn't get a pic, but I'll post one tomorrow.

Should I just throw a bolt in there, or is it for something super important?
From what I've read, this transmission might be the same one found in the Fiat 500 and Dodge Dart, but I'm not 100% sure.
Has anyone here actually owned a Renegade with this dual-clutch transmission? Any info at all would be a lifesaver

I have had lots of memorable experiences with DDCTs and yeah, they are weirdly undocumented. The hole on top sounds like the factory fill port. Don't plug it until you're sure it's not vent-related.

Yeah, that info on that DDCT is super limited! That missing bolt hole might be a sensor port or fill access, so I wouldn't plug it until I confirm what it is for like @Don't Wanna Go Home there. The fill plug is usually on the back-left side of the transmission, and fluid level needs to be checked while the engine's running and trans is at temp. That's what I know so far

That DDCT in the Renegade is basically the same one in some Fiats and Darts, which is why info is so scarce. The manual's 240k km ATF interval is way too long, most people change it much sooner, and the full fluid capacity is more like 4-5 L . The drain and fill plugs are usually on the front of the case, but can be hard to see. As for that missing bolt on top, dont just stick one in, it's likely a vent or access point, so get a pic first to be sure before trying anything.
