My 2016 Renegade Sport grille is super sun-faded, and none of the plastic restorers have worked. I'm thinking about replacing it, but I'm not sure if I need to take off the whole front bumper to do that. Has anyone done this or know if it's possible? I'd really appreciate any advice

Yup, to replace the grille your Renegade , youll need to remove the front bumper.. No way around it since the grille is clipped in from behind. Its not too bad if you've got basic tools tho and ofc some time. Plenty of DIY videos can walk you through it

Unfortunately yes, but if you're careful you can get out the grille just with removing the clops and tabs. It's finicky, but it may save you a bumper removal.

I'm not sure about the grille swap process, but I'd guess you might need to remove the bumper.
yep, true! you need to remove the entire front bumper cover to properly access and replace the main grille
The grille isn't designed to just pop out from the front without removing the bumper
It's usually secured from behind with clips and/or screws that become accessible once the bumper is off
