My adventure on a recall

Progressive insurance flagged a recall on my car about a year ago. Took it to the dealer, they confirmed it needed work like manifolds, sensors, and such. Ever since, they keep delaying, blaming a backordered manifold, but only when I ask. Car runs fine with around 150k miles, but after all this time, Im starting to wonder, is this legit at all or are they just giving me the runaround?

It's totally fair to wonder if they're giving you the runaround.
Go online to the NHTSA recall website and punch in your VIN. That'll show you the exact recall info and if there's genuinely a part hold.
You can also call other Jeep dealers to see if their parts department has that manifold in stock. Don't let them string you along!

Unfortunately, backordered parts are a real issue lately especially manifolds. I know some that waited months, even a year, for certain parts. If the car's still safe to drive, you might consider partial repairs or checking with independent shops for alternatives.
